My name is Marco Dubbeld . Welcome to my workshop.

Since October 2025, we have been located in the town of Langeweg. We moved from Dordrecht to Brabant.
More space for the workshop and the studio.

From my background as a landscaper, I have knowledge of trees and various types of wood. Before woodturning, I was already a woodmaker, primarily of small pieces of furniture made mainly from fresh wood. My father-in-law, Bas, taught me how to turn on his self-built wood lathe using his homemade chisels. I grew increasingly eager to create something beautiful from a chunk or stump of wood.

A few years later, I joined the Ambachtshonk, a workshop in Dordrecht, where I could improve my skills. In 2018, I took a woodturning masterclass with Glenn Lukas in Ireland. In 2019, I also started working on woodturning at home.

A new shed as a workshop. The Midi Pro lathe made way for a large Record Power lathe. More courses followed with well-known woodturners, and from 2022, I started teaching myself at the Ambachhonk.

I really enjoy demonstrating and inspiring others. More and more interested people are coming by with a specific question and to practice this beautiful craft.
